As Salaamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhus Sisters,

When you receive this e-mail, may you and your families be in good health and iman,  and safe & warm, Amin.

In Sha Allah, we will have a day of enjoyment with the theme of
"Reduce,   Reuse, Recycle,  Repair".

Date: Saturday, March 13th
Time: From 1:00 PM UNTIL 7:00 PM.
Place: ODU Islamic Center

We will have a planned day of fun, games and excitement. Please plan to spend the day with your sisters, In Sha Allah.

First, we will have a "Switch and Swap". We will bring in items eg. hijabs, abayas, dresses, khimars, shoes, anything that is is either new or gently used that we would like to "trade" (not sell) with our sisters.

Second, we will have a
"Recycle Challenge". There are 2 ways to participate in this challenge.  You can pick one or do both, In Sha Allah. On these challenges, if you could take a before picture so that we could see what your item looked like before you started your work on it. (for yourself you may want to take an after picture also). Look at the example below.

      1)  - Take something that you would usually throw away and make it into something that you would either like to wear, use as decoration, or give as a gift to someone. (Really, I mean make it into something that when finished, we would not know it was about to go into the garbage.

      2)  -  Buy something for $1 - $5 ($10.00 maximum if you have to) and decorate it and make it into something really beautiful, In Sha Allah.

For both challenges,  you can spent as much $ as you want on the decorations/ embellishments.

This gives us 1 month and 2 weeks approximately to look through our things for the "Switch and Swap", and also time to prepare our Recycle Challenge projects.

Any Questions, please feel free to give me a call or e-mail.

Can you guess what this pretty vase is made from?

Please respond and let me know who will participate on this project, In Sha Allah.
